Hosted Competitions

Annual October Contest

Flagship National Contest

Every year our annual October contest is hosted online and in-person with over 350 people in attendance. The contest is produced entirely by the CS Club.

We need problem writers, testers, judges, and volunteers to help put the event together!

UIL Invitational

District / Regional Meet

A competitive meet hosted by SLHS CS Club for schools across the region to practice UIL CS rules, written tests, and hands-on team coding.

Volunteers and proctors needed!

Attended Competitions

We attend several local computer science contests throughout the year hosted by neighboring schools. Teams of three program on one computer to complete a packet of programming problems (while eating pizza and candy). They are a fun way to spend a Saturday and improve your problem-solving skills.

HPE CodeWars

Annual contest hosted by Hewlett Packard Enterprise, held in the spring.

UIL CS

Invitational A at Seven Lakes, Invitational B at Needville, District at Jordan, Region at Foster, and State at the University of Texas at Austin.

Local School Contests

Hosted by nearby schools including Taylor, Clements, Cy Woods, and Tompkins throughout the year.

USACO

USA Computing Olympiad — online contests throughout the year
